I've made Stanley a play kitchen in the garden out of an old crate and some old kitchen bits and bobs from the bric-a-brac stall in the local market. He loves it and has been making mud pies all morning proving that you don't need to spend a fortune on toys. The crate I think cost about £5 a few years ago and the kitchen bits cost £3.50, a bargain!

  1. How sweet. I loved making mud pies as a child but didn't have such an organised set up as Stanley.

  2. This is so lovely and beats the big plastic kitchens hands down :)

  3. Love this, might have to make one for Isla in the garden. We went to see a pre-school (sob!) last week that had a mud kitchen - they gained bonus points in my eyes for having it!

  4. Ooh that mud quiche looks yummy Stan! ;-) A fab idea Emma and so much lovelier than plastic tat! :-)
